Celebrating Women’s Rights & Justice: HUDA’s Commitment to Gender Equality

HUDA was honored to participate in the Gender Justice Journey, an inspiring initiative organized by Plan International Kenya in collaboration with Tuwajali Wajane Kwale and Kwale Women Focus Initiative. This transformative event served as a powerful lead-up to International Women’s Day, bringing together key stakeholders to advocate for women’s rights and social justice.

The Gender Justice Journey provided a platform to engage in meaningful conversations on critical issues affecting women and girls, including:

  1. Gender Equality in Leadership & Governance – Addressing barriers that hinder women’s participation in decision-making and championing their inclusion in leadership spaces.
  2. Ending Gender-Based Violence & Ensuring Community Safety – Exploring strategies to prevent violence, support survivors, and create safer communities for women and girls.
  3. Strengthening Policies to Advance Women’s Rights  Advocating for laws and policies that protect, uplift, and empower women at all levels.

On this International Women’s Day, HUDA proudly reaffirms its commitment to accelerating progress for women and girls. This year’s theme, #InvestInWomenAccelerateProgress, is a powerful reminder that when women thrive, communities flourish.

HUDA remains dedicated to:

  • Creating opportunities for women and girls through mentorship, leadership programs, and economic empowerment.
  • Advocating for policies that safeguard women’s rights and foster gender equality.
  • Strengthening community-based solutions that promote justice, safety, and inclusivity.

Empowering women is not just a cause it’s a collective responsibility. How can we continue supporting women in leadership and social justice? Share your thoughts below!
