The project aimed at building the relationship between youth and the security actors through dialogues and joint sports activity. This DAI funded project was implemented in 2018 impacting on out of school youth from Msamweni sub-county, Kwale.

INUKA
The project aimed at transforming violent extremism by strengthening the relationship between youth in the boda boda sector and the local security actors. It was implemented in 2020 in Msambweni sub-county and was funded by Search for Common Ground.

CREATE
It focusses on providing mentorship, psychosocial support and linkages to livelihood opportunities to vulnerable youth with the view of shrinking the pool of recruitment to violent extremism. It is currently being implemented in Matuga and Msambweni sub-counties.

Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children
We partnered with International Justice Mission (IJM) in 2021 to jointly implement the project in Kwale county. The project aims at protecting children from commercial sexual exploitation and facilitating access to justice to survivors of sexual exploitation.

Mental Health Advocacy
Aimed at creating mental health awareness to families living with mental health patients and the general public. It culminated in presenting a public petition to the county assembly of Kwale to formulate policies to establish a free mental health institution in Kwale county. supported by Base Titanium and jointly implemented by HUDA and Kwale human rights network

Pamoja Dhidi ya Corona
In response to Covid-19 , the project aimed at mitigating its harmful effects on social cohesion stability and peace in Kwale. It facilitated dialogues between security actors, religious leaders, health officials, youth in the Boda boda sector and people living with disability. It was funded by Search for Common Ground and implemented in 2021 in Msambweni and Lunga Lunga sub-counties.

STaBLE (Kenya and Tanzania)
The STaBLE project aimed at strengthening the cross-border collaboration between local state actors and the leadership of Beach Management Units (BMU) in Kenya (Kwale) and Tanzania (Tanga) with the view of addressing the cross-border and regional nature of the risk factors that exacerbate conflict and violent extremism. The project was implemented in 2021 in Kwale county (Shimoni BMU, Wasini BMU, Vanga BMU and Jimbo BMU) and the Tanga District in Tanzania. STaBLE project was funded by Mercy Corps.

Who I am
The project aims at building young women’s resilience against violent extremism through theater. The project is jointly being implanted in Kwale by HUDA and SAFE Pwani organization.
